Lecture by Arts & Letters Dean John T. McGreevy, Ph.D. @ St. Joe's Sept. 30, 2014

Join ND alumni at a lecture by John T. McGreevy, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Arts and Letters at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30 in Mandeville Hall at Saint Joseph's University. Dr. McGreevy will speak on “Burchard Villiger, S.J., the Restored Jesuits and Global Catholicism in the Modern Age.” The lecture will be followed by a reception. ND Law Book Event: Catholic Schools in Urban America - September 18, 2014 at 5:30pm

ND Law, the Alliance for Catholic Education and the Archdiocese's Office for the New Evangelization are sponsoring a book discussion on September 18, 2014 at the Neumann Center at the University of Pennsylvania. This discussion, entitled "A Crisis of Community: Catholic School Closures and Urban Neighborhoods" will focus on the role of Catholic education in our inner cities and how the loss of schools has a dramatic impact on the community.

We are planning the Fifth Annual Hesburgh Day of Service at St DePaul Catholic School on Saturday morning May 10, 2014 from 8:30--noon. Save the date to help in this worthwhile project that is starting to show our impact on the school. For those of you who have volunteered in the past, do come this day to see all the work you have contributed to in the past. For those who have not had the opportunity to reach out to this wonderful school, please come and join us. We will be doing work inside the school and potentially outside, too. 10/11/13 Hesburgh Lecture at SJU’s Haub Executive Center (McShain Hall)

Our annual Hesburgh Lecture will occur on Friday, 10/11 at 7pm at St. Joseph’s University in the Haub Executive Center (located in McShain Hall).

The ND Club of Philadelphia is pleased to feature: Professor Donald Crafton, Ph.D., presenting his lecture “Notre Dame in the Movies”.
Professor Crafton is the Joseph and Elizabeth Robbie Professor of Film, Television, and Theatre and a Fellow, Nanovic Institute for European Studies at the University of Notre Dame.
